This petroglyph, aptly named Map Rock, is a prehistoric map of Southern Idaho. The primary horizontal line is the Snake River. Tributaries and other land marks (one would assume food sources and locations where people live) are marked. It looks remarkably similiar to a modern subdivision platte.

The most important thing is to not panic. Stay calm. To help you find your way, we have provided the map below. If that doesn't help, see the sidebar to the right.
Map Rock is located in Canyon County, just across the Snake from Givens Hot Springs. And yes, I looked, but I could not find the "You are here" arrow.
