Photographers

HeartBar Graphics would like to invite you to become a contributing photographer to our High Mountain Desert Screen Savers collection. This is a great opportunity for you to showcase your work of the high mountain deserts of the I-O-N Region.

There are not very many rules involved. First and foremost, of course, is that the photos need to be of the I-O-N high mountain desert. These can be scenery, human interest, wildlife, historical sites - there is a broad range of possibilities and we would like to see them all.

Submission details are:

  • We suggest photo sizes of 640x480 for portrait oriented photos, and 480x640 for landscape orientation, at 72 dpi. This provides enough detail that the quality of your photo stands out, but keeps file sizes small enough to be manageable. Files can normally be compressed 10-20% without degrading visible quality on the screen.
  • Do mark your photo with your logo, name or website, but keep it as small as possible while maintaining legibility. This is about the photo, not your logo.
  • Remember that we are offering these screen savers completely royalty free, and we are encouraging distribution. Your reward comes from sharing with all mankind your talents and art. Then again, the exposure won't be a bad thing.....
  • We will provide a link to your web site, and would request that you reciprocate with a link to HeartBar Graphics. In fact, in a perfect world, we will put up samples of your work with full credit and contact information, and the download link will take the user back to your web site to download the photo file - bandwidth is a limited resource!
  • Please zip archive your photo collection before emailing it to us. Include in the body of the email all pertinent contact information, a (very) brief bio, a photo of you if you wish, and any other relevant information. Our email address is dougcook@heartbargraphics.com.
We look forward to hearing from you and seeing your photographs!
